Proof copy of Gotcha Covered delivered to publisher
Aug. 21, 2009, Nashville, TN—The printer’s proof copy of Gotcha Covered: A Legacy of Service and Protection was delivered to Published by Westview, Inc. this AM. The as-yet-unbound galleys were eagerly reviewed by Mary Catherine Nelson, publication manager, and Ginger Manley, editor, to sighs of “ooh” and “ahh.” “It’s a wonderful book,” they both agreed. But, alas there was one small glitch with one printed apron image, which was easily corrected with Photoshop, but doing so will slow down the “start the presses” go-ahead for at least a week while new galleys are printed. Our revised delivery date for debut of the book is now the week of Sept. 21. If nothing else happens to slow us down, we will easily have books in time for the Southern Festival of Books, Oct. 9-11 in downtown Nashville and for the several kickoff Gathering of Aprons scheduled for other October dates. Meanwhile, please enjoy the photo of Marti Daniel proudly holding our prototype book.
