Aprons Becoming Headliners!
Nov. 1, 2009—A very successful book signing was held yesterday at Appalachian Christian Village in Johnson City, TN. Suzanne Blievernicht, Sara Jeanne Wells, and Ginger Manley joined Katherine Maloney and about 75 guests for fellowship, apron stories, and refreshment from 2:00-4:00 PM hosted by Brenda McInturff, Activities Director at Appalachian Christian Village. Guests brought their collection of aprons to share and one guest brought her collection of apron patterns. A professor of women’s studies at Milligan College came to the event with the intent of using the book as a part of her curriculum for the spring, 2010 semester. Old friends and neighbors of Katherine’s when she lived in Telford were there to visit and support the event. Click here for today’s front page headline story in the Johnson City Press.
